"Nature’s Lifelines"

The National Park gate in Simmerath-Rurberg has the motto “Nature’s Lifelines”. Follow animal tracks through the fascinating natural and cultural history of the Eifel or experience rivers, streams, tarns and lakes from the perspective of a kite! Crayfish, pearl oysters and beavers offer fascinating insights into their lives and demonstrate the importance of National Parks. Entry is free.

The Rurberg National Park gate is the starting point for free guided tours of the Kermeter forest: the Rurberg ranger tour begins here at 11am each Saturday.

1st April to 31st October from 9am to 61pm and 1.30pm to 5pm
1st November to 31st March from 10am to 1pm and 1.30pm to 4pm
