Boat tours with a ranger

There is a special way to experience the National Park from April to October: on the first and third Monday of every month, rangers from the National Park Authority accompany you on a boat trip across a reservoir.

You can check the dates and meeting points in our (German) events calendar.

During the trip, which takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes, the rangers offerprovide information about the Eifel National Park, its world of flora and fauna and are happy to answer your questions.

The jetties "Schwammenauel" and "Einruhr", where tours start and end, are barrier-free. Despite this, we recommend that wheelchair users bring a chaperone. A disabled toilet is provided on the boat.

No advanced booking is required for the ranger boat tour. However, please contact the Rursee-Schifffahrt company in advance on +49 (0)2446 479 if you are travelling as part of a group. Accompaniment by the ranger is free of charge but a standard ticket price applies to the boat trip. For prices and further information please see the Rursee-Schifffahrt website.
