GästeCard

If you stay with a participating establishment, you will receive the free GästeCard for the duration of your stay. In addition to free use of buses and trains across the holiday region, in the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg (VRS) and Aachen Verkehrsverbund (AVV), you also receive attractive discounts to numerous tourist attractions and leisure activities.

If you book in advance you will receive your card prior to your arrival, so you can use the transport in the VRS and AVV, for example local transport provided by the Deutsche Bahn near Cologne, to get to the National Park.

The benefits of the GästeCard are obvious: Holiday transport that is environmentally friendly, cheap and free from traffic jams! Free use of all buses and trains in the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg (VRS) and Aachen Verkehrsverbund (AVV) during your holiday – including arrival and departure.

Additional charges apply if you are travelling with a bike or for use of the AST (dial-a-bus).

Trips arranged by private operators, such as the boat trip on the Rur reservoir or with the historic rail car on the Oleftalbahn, are not included.
